The National Childrens Hospital in Dublin has been one of our largest bespoke planter jobs to date with over 2000 meters of planter panels installed throughout the hospital.

A stunning piece of architecture, this visionary project combines nature with various breakout areas across the hospital, ensuring restful environments for patients, family and staff. We were thrilled to see our completed planters in position, with no two planters the same!
Our site visit in October 2025 began with the two interior winter gardens, where relaxed seating areas are distributed amongst tropical plants under a void of skylights above.
Moving throughout the hospital at ground level, you will encounter 5 unique outdoor courtyards with children’s play activities and external seating. These areas are entwined with shrubs and trees, creating restful environments for the patients and their families.
This visionary project then branches out on the upper hospital levels where on the exterior of the hospital, large differing terraces overhang the streets below with an explosion of foliage for anyone stepping outside for a breath of air to enjoy.
Once again, there are another 2 stunning curved half oval courtyards on the roof of the hospital, combining nature and architecture into a unique garden oasis. It’s hard to believe at this point with all the plants and greenery that you are really 7 stories up and not at ground level.
A big thank you to BAM UK & Ireland and BDP for their outreach and collaboration with this unique project.
