CABRA

This development of comprising of 485 new homes and 25000 sqft retail supermarket in Cabra, a central and established suburb in Dublin, has been planned around a parkland of new public and shared residential garden spaces.  In theme, the spaces reference the acclaimed local mathematician, Sir Rowan Hamilton, founder of quaternions and author of Hamilton’s Principle.

The site is long and narrow stretching over half a kilometre and bounded on the Eastern side by a section of railway.  The main access road into the long and narrow site has been framed by an avenue of trees, with sufficient soil volumes discreetly provided by the RootSpace soil structure installed below the pavements.

Further tree planting around the public garden square and the residential landscape areas utilised the StrataCell and ReRoot Root Management systems.
