Directional paving to guide passengers intuitively along key routes, enhancing wayfinding and improving the user experience.

The design of the new pavement layout at Belfast International Airport features directional paving to guide passengers intuitively along key routes, enhancing wayfinding and improving the user experience. To achieve the layout, Greenleaf Ireland supplied rigid AluExcel aluminium edge restraint to provide a subtle band along the centre of the chevron pattern paving.
Aluminium is widely used in the aircraft industry due to the strength-to-weight ratio benefits and the advantages of corrosion resistance in harsh environments so the inclusion of this edging in the entrance to the airport is a nice tribute to this versatile material
We’re pleased to have worked with Piperhill Construction on this project, assisting in the selection of the suitable depth of product and to have been able to advise on fixing methods.
